Through the Total Community Lending (TCL) Program, The Alliance supported 12 CDFIs and MDIs in modernizing lending systems, strengthening operational efficiency and deploying capital more effectively

Looking Ahead
Participating organizations reported improved workflows, stronger system structure, and early gains in lending efficiency. TCL revealed that successful modernization requires institutional readiness, cross-trained staff, and strong internal systems. While some organizations advanced quickly into active utilization, others faced staffing and implementation challenges. TCL served as a learning laboratory that will strengthen how The Alliance supports modernization moving forward. In 2026, insights from TCL will be embedded into a Technology Implementation Lab, which will be launched to provide more targeted, readiness-aligned technology implementation support for Alliance members.
