Expanding Affordable Capital at Scale
The Black Renaissance Fund (BRF) advanced its mission in 2025 by delivering affordable, flexible capital to Black-led CDFIs nationwide. Building on foundational investments and operational readiness achieved in prior years, BRF scaled
deployment, strengthened internal lending capacity, and expanded support through both loan and grant capital.
By the Numbers
These efforts enhanced member balance sheets, increased lending capacity, and positioned BRF as a trusted, mission-aligned source of low-cost capital driving equitable economic development.

Deployed $3.9 million in loan capital to 5 CDFI members

Secured and fully deployed $1.5 million in additional loan capital
